Notes/description: Can you imagine what a child is capable of with a camera in his hands? All over the world the audiovisual are used so that children can tell their stories.
The objective of the Festival Internacional Pequeno Cineasta is to bring together these stories in Rio de Janeiro and to show the public what happens when children are given the opportunity to get behind the camera.
Since the first edition, various multicultural stories have emerged, rich in detail and useful for discussing values and children´s education.
Participants between 8/17 years old may register to participate. The Festival exhibits the national competition exhibition and the international competition exhibition, both split in two categories: films created by children and films created by teenagers. In addition to the competition, there will be an exhibition of the films created by the students of Oficina Pequeno Cineasta, a project developed by the Festival director together with children of Rio de Janeiro. As you may have imagined, the judges will be the children.
